LDAP and MS Exchange

We have a mixed environment of NT (server and desktop), *nix, and a variety
of business applications, both server and desktop based.  We also have a
mail environment that has some Exchange users and some generic pop3/smtp
client, Sendmail server users.  The mail is part of an integrated, single
mail domain setup.

We're seriously thinking of implementing LDAP, for all the usual reasons.  A
potential stumbling block, though, is achieving connectivity of the Exchange
servers to the LDAP server, either by importing of data or by direct
connection.

Does anybody know of tools/software/techniques for achieving this, or of
anyone currently operating a similar scenario?
