At least I got the authentication running using the
Netscape Address Book and the OpenLDAP server.

About the bug of the downloads from the server to the client, this is
still unsolved.

If you want the authentication to work, substitute on your ldif file
the uid attribute for a cn attribute, like this :

dn: nsLIProfileName=malere,ou=Roaming,o=TUDelft,c=NL
changetype: add
ou: Roaming
o: TUDelft
c: NL
nsLIProfileName: malere
owner: cn=Luiz Ernesto Pinheiro Malere,o=TUDelft,c=NL
