I hope my book was helpful. ;)

Anyway, display of the output is up to the client (sort of like displaying
information retrieved from a database is up to a database client).

You can modify Communicator 4.5  (which I guess is now 4.6) and later
display by editing the prefs.js file (of course this is only useful if you
can centerally manage the prefs.js file, not something that is very likely).

Instead you probably need to write your own Web gateway or modify one of the
many LDAP/Web tools out there.
