Re: Outlook-like Contact Manager facility

Hi,
Outlook doesn't synch with LDAP (at least not in it's current version).
I think LDAP is in Outlook mostly so that users can take advantage of
Internet directories such as Four11.com who use LDAP.
Of course MS wants Outlook to only synch with Exchange since they make big
$$ on the Exchange (I'm not knocking this, because good or bad, MS is out to
make $$). This isn't that different from Novell's Groupwise synching only
with the Groupwise server. I'm just happy that you can get to Exchange more
or less from LDAP.

You can synch up with LDAP with Netscape Communicator (well ok you have to
configure the LDAP server for it, but it can be done) ;)
