Re: DN maxlength



There is no maximum length for a DN. 
But X.500 model inforce some maximum length per RDN of the DN.
2 char for C (Country)
64 for cn, o, ou, sn
128 for l, street, st,
and 2048 for ref in the referral objectclass.
I guess there are some other ones.

Some servers like Sun Directory Services 3.1, check the size of each
RDN.

Some servers also limit the depth of the tree, therefore the length of
the DN.
