Has anyone out there successfully used ldap to implement acl (Access Control
Lists) across a large enterprise, either through a single or distributed
server scheme? If so, I would like to pick your brain a little bit about
your schema, object representation, platforms, problems you encountered,
etc..?
Also, has anyone read Microsoft's announcements about LDAP integration into
Windows 2000? They are going to a centralized directory ("Active Directory")
service that supports LDAP for domain and other forms of
authentication/directory information.
...but they gave up on the IETF to create a replication standard and have
created their own. Does anyone have more information about this?
Specifically on the possibility of having to replicate Microsoft LDAP
services?
