Re: Re: LDAP and sendmail
Ok, but at a certain point the operating system uses it routines to get
information out of /etc/passwd.
Can i take influence of this behaviour by installing nss_ldap and tell the
OS to get its information from ldap?

Sendmail does not get its information from /etc/passwd unless you
tell it to. Unless you set the w flag, it's up to the delivery program
(not sendmail) to determine whether the user exists or not. See
sysexits.h (in your normal system include path).
