Depends on what you are trying to do here.
With the Netscape Directory server there is
a parameter called "idletimeout"
This is on the slapd.conf file
The format is
idletimeout 300
The integer time value is in seconds.
A value of 0 means infinite.
What this does is that if a particular connection is
idle for this period of time, the connection is closed by the
server.
