binary data

Hi,

LDAP has the capability of storing binary data, but I haven't been able to
find anything explaining how to retrieve the binary data.  Everything
I've read points to the ldif program's -b option.  This encodes the data
and puts it in ldif format, but how do you get the data back out of the
directory and unencode it?
