Re: Problems with OpenLDAP clients querying MS Exchange

Dear All,

Thank you to those respondents who have made suggestions. Following your
advice I have succeeded in getting responses from the Exchange server by
using c=GB as the base. The server doesn't accept its X400 organisation
name as a valid o=... base.

I should point out that the Exchange server needed a "Service Pack" applied
for it to work at all.

This particular server will return no results for its known MS Mail
recipients (which I assume is a propagated directory) using sn=... or
cn=... but it will provided that you search using display-name=... .

It returns results for recipients which Exchange handles directly or passes
off to CC:Mail, X400, or ourselves via SMTP when searched with sn=... or
cn=... .

Some of these peculiarities may be down to sloppy system administration.
However it may also be possible that MS-Mail directory fields don't
transfer meaningfully to the Exchange server.

Once again, thanks for your help, & best wishes with the project.

Robin.
