Bill,

I compiled release 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 on Solaris 2.7.  After configuring with:

LIBS="-lpthread -lrt" ./configure

my problems seemed to vanish.  However, I am using gdbm for my backend, not
the database you referred to above.  Also, I would STRONGLY recommend using
version 1.1.2 as it fixes several bugs with the 1.1.1 release.
