That said, I've been wondering what people would think about merging
ldap@umich.edu into openldap-general@openldap.org, because..
- the openldap effort is the apparent de-facto non-commercial successor of
the
UMich LDAP effort,
- both lists are about LDAP in general - so why have two?
Also, I note that as far as I can see, there is not an LDAP newsgroup other
than fj.net.ldap -- which is apparently in Japanese. I suggest that someone
oughta start up one, e.g. comp.directories.ldap, and perhaps gateway it to
the
openldap-general dl (dunno what all the politics in the usenet world would be
surrounding such a move, tho. perhaps none, perhaps something).
