Be sure to note that Active Directory is not actually intended to be a general 
purpose directory service, even tho some of Microsoft's material might allude 
to that. It is intended to facilitate the Windows networking environment and 
is closely married to the Security Account Manager process within NT. What 
will be interesting for many sites is how to reconcile and handle what goes 
into ADS and what is in their general-purpose directory, how and wherein the 
two point to each other, replicate some info between each other, etc.
