Re: Do DN's have to be rooted at country



I want to note that I largely agree with Luke's stated preference for 
RFC2247-style names. We're moving Stanford's directory in that direction this 
winter.

I think it is important to note that RFC2377 is an "Informational" RFC and is 
~not~ on the standards track. It is based on RFC2247, which is at "proposed 
standard" maturity level, and ~is~ on the standards track.

I recently did a core-dump on DIT design and DN issues in response to a 
question. It is cached here...
