On the requirements side, there's the TODO list, there are ITS
requests, there are various draft and published technical
specifications, and there's comments in the code... but nothing
I would call a "requirements" document.  And while there is no
up-to-date design document, there are various documents which
are useful to read if one is developing OpenLDAP Software.
(Like X.500 and LDAP specifications, old Umich documents,
various papers and reports.... and, of course, the code.
IIRC, there is an answer or two in this area in the FAQ.)
