I think I misunderstood your question. Yes, slurpd does a noop
when seeing the "suffix" parameter in the replica statement;
however, slapd adds the "replica: host[:port]" line before writing
a change to the replog file in case the entry matches the suffix
parameter for that replica. The subtree replication is slapd-,
not slurp-driven. In this sense, the replicating server decides
what should be sent to the slave (and in this sense an ACL-based
replication should be intended).
