troubleshooting suggestions?

i have compiled the 1.2.11 (iirc) bits on an HP-UX 11 system, and after
a bit of twidling to get configure happy it all appears to compile. so,
i went into the test directory and ran the tests - all goes well (so it
would seem) until the search test, at which point there are diffs
between the actual and expected output.

any pointers on how to go about troubleshooping this? i'm starting from
ground zero.

once I have a better idea of what is going-on, I hope to add some simple
benchmark tests to netperf...
