In general it means that the server encountered an internal error
of some sort.

Yes, you are posting to wrong list.  Please review the list
charter (http://www.openlap.org/lists/).  Please direct regarding
the use of (released) OpenLDAP software to the software list.
There is no user support offerred for non-released codes (such
as -devel and -alpha).
