I believe this is specific to OpenLDAP (caried over from the U of M
codebase). I think netscape uses a diffrent parameter for the same data
and I've never seen a specification or standard on how performance or
monitoring data should be extracted from an LDAP server. Somebody please
step in and correct me if I'm wrong.
