Hi Quanah,
I was reporting a bug, not a patch. There were multiple ways of fixing it.=
I provided one suggested fix here:

but quickly followed that up with another idea:

Of course moving to LMDB would be the best approach, but we're still not th=
ere yet, it takes a long time to switch directory format when you're dealin=
g with hundreds of OpenLDAP instances on Solaris 11 (esp. where Oracle have=
only recently provided a way of upgrading from 2.4.30 to 2.4.44).
