Good catch; a fix is in HEAD.  Please test it (pcache.c 1.218 -> 1.219)
and report.  Please also note that while tracking this issue I also
spotted a couple of bugs which have been fixed as ITS#6797 (pcache.c 1.217
-> 1.218).
