An abort would also log the source file and line number where it 
aborted, you should include that information.

Also, your bug report indicates that you're running a package that was 
assembled and patched by Red Hat. As such, you should contact them for 
support. Since we have no idea how Red Hat built their package or what 
additional patches they applied to it, there's really no way for us to 
even guess what might be wrong here.

Finally, note that OpenLDAP 2.0.27 was released September 2002, and 
there have been hundreds of changes since then; the current release is 
2.3.17. The OpenLDAP project no longer tracks bugs in 2.0-2.2. If Red 
Hat is unable to provide you with adequate support, you should upgrade 
to a current release so that others can help you.
