Building openldap using 2.2.6 or 2.3.9 the same error message came up

Berkeley said it is not a problem on their side mus contact you

configure: error: Berkeley DB version mismatch

The command line used was:
"debian:/appl/openldap-2.2.26# env CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3/include
LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.3/lib ./configure"

If only ./configure is used the following error appeared
" error: BDB/HDB: BerkeleyDB not available"
