I'm not 100% sure but I suspect some nasty interaction between 
slapo-glue and slapo-rwm; the latter might nee some reworking to allow 
the configuration you're trying.  I suggest, in that context, that you 
use back-meta instead of back-ldap, which provides builtin rewrite 
capabilities that are equivalent to those of slapo-rwm but are fully 
self-contained and thus should not interact with slapo-glue.
