SLAPI does not work on 64-bit platforms because slapi_pblock_get() assumes that
integers and pointers are the same size.

IBM Directory Server also suffers from the same issue:

I am preparing a fix, which I will commit to HEAD. I would like to submit the
fix for inclusion in REL_ENG_2_2.
