syncRepl fails to increment connection pointer (ITS#2739)

The first connection is a dummy connection to the internal operations at 
the consumer.
The internal operations are performed at the backend level and the native 
backends
are not exposed to the notion of connection ids. The second connection in 
the log
is the first connection from outside and that put into the connection 
table.
