Slapd fails to die (ITS#2502)

Hello,

Found today one of our servers has a slapd that refuses to die.  It was sent a
kill -INT at 4:20 a.m. 

May  9 04:20:22 ldap3.Stanford.EDU slapd[21057]: [ID 542995 local4.debug] slapd
shutdown: waiting for 1 threads to terminate

It is now 5:47 a.m., and it has not died.  It is currently taking up 97-98% of
the CPU.

Fortunately, this is on one of my systems running slapd with debugging symbols,
so I have taken a core file of it (via gcore).  The core file is 64MB in size,
not sure if you want me to FTP that in or not.  Let me know.
