Openldap fails to index large data files (ITS#2368)

Hello,

When going to load our DB into 2.1.14 via slapadd, we found that indexing
problems were created when testing the load by running some deletes.

The database we are loading is only 1/3 of our total DB, and has 69,627
accounts.  It is 2,383,047 lines long.

If I split the DB into 4 pieces, and load, I get the same problem.

If I load any 3 of the 4 pieces (ANY 3), I do not get the problem.

Therefore, there is a serious problem with slapadd/BDB when the size of the DB
passes some point.


We are only indexing the following things:

objectClass
krb5PrincipalName
uid

with a default of eq


The error I am seeing is:

deleting entry "uid=a2gupta,cn=Accounts,dc=Stanford,dc=edu"
ldapmodify: delete failed: uid=a2gupta,cn=Accounts,dc=Stanford,dc=edu
ldap_delete: Internal (implementation specific) error (80)
        additional info: DN index delete failed
