A section of meta_back_dobind() sets lsc->bound_dn.bv_val to NULL and then
right
away calls Debug()/syslog() with that value.  The code doing this was
apparently
executed only on occasion (e.g., perform some ~40k queries, then invoke a query
that triggered slapd-meta); slapd would die when it did.
