Problem searching a big ldbm database (ITS#887)

Hi all,
Let me first say thanks because of your very speedy software.
I tested it with a database containing 1 million entries, it works fine.
Today I tried to create a database with 2 million entries.
After 23 hours the slapadd had finished without errors.
The bad thing: with 2 million entries I can nothing find in the database,
slapd tells me that no records were found.
Is there a limitation?
