Oh.  I didn't know.

I'll first try to compile OpenLDAP on a coupld of other machines here
that have similar setups.  If those are positive, then I'll try
recompiling the kernel on this machine.  Unfortunately, I won't have the
time in the next week, so it'll be a while before I can get around to
it.
