compile errors

When trying to compile openldap on a SunOS 5.6 with gcc version 2.8.1,
configure fails. I have also tried to compile with the --without-threads
configure flag and although the config.cache file is created, the compile
files with thread library errors. Does anyone have any thoughts? below I put
a couple of lines from configure.
