Cannoy Create Indexes with stable

Hello,

I've compiled OpenLDAP for Digital UNIX 4.0d (Alpha processor) using its built-in cc and gmake. I'm very pleased with the results but am having problems when I actually create the database.

The problem is that I cannot get the indexes to build using openldap-stable, instead I get an error like 'execv: no such file' when it tries to build them using ldif2ldbm. However, I can execute ldif2index quite easily.

A quick printf placed immediately before the execv(cmd, args) line in ldif2ldbm.c reveals that it seems to be execuring garbage characters but I haven't prodded it further.

Has anyone else had this problem and know how to solve it?
