OpenLDAP 1.1 Alpha Available
    OpenLDAP 1.1 Alpha is now available for testing purposes.

    This version includes a new GNU Autoconf based build
    environment and support for MS NT development (MSVC5).
    Please direct your comments concerning this version to
    the openldap-devel@openldap.org mailing list.

OpenLDAP at DirConnect3
    The OpenLDAP Project will be participating in the Internet
    Directory Consortium DirConnect3 (28-29 October 1998).
    DirConnect3 is the third in a series of interoperability
    tested hosted by the IDC.  OpenLDAP will test open source
    LDAP implementations with leading commercial products.

Expansion of OpenLDAP Core Team
    The OpenLDAP Project is pleased to announce the expansion
    of its core team.  The expansion of the core team will help
    the achieve it's goal of delivery a quality, feature-rich
    LDAP suite.  New team members include:

        Predrag Balorda
        Kurt Spanier
        Hallvard Furuseth
