The data model supports multiple values. Often only a subset of the values are of interest. I believe that such functionality is generally useful in the presence of attributes with (even a small number of) multiple values. This I-D provides a well defined mechanism to request only the return of values of interest. This mechanism is, IMO, technically sound and is quite suitable for publication on standard track. Kurt
