   adding authentication support to connection-based protocols.

   This memo describes modifications to LDAP version 3[1] to allow
   transport of a subset of the LDAP protocol over connection-less
   transport.

I-D, Security considerations

   Unlike CLDAP verison 2[3] it is possible for a CLDAPv3 client to
   establish a secure association to a CLDAPv3 server by a SASL bind
   which can establish an integrity or security layer.
