Internet Directory Consortium call for participation in DirConnect3

Dear all,

The interest in LDAP, especially V3 and extensions remains strong. With this increase in popularity of the technology come even greater requirements for interoperability of different suppliers' implementations. To enable cooperative LDAP testing in an engineers-only environment the Internet Directory Consortium proposes to hold a Dirconnect3 Interoperability Testing event.

If you are implementing LDAP clients or servers you are urged to consider this opportunity of meeting your peers in other organizations for some serious testing.

The location will be in the San Jose area.

The program will be as below:

Day 1

8:30 - 9:30 Set up, get acquainted, muffins, fruit, coffee, sodas

9:30 - 12:00 Testing

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (buffet, served away from the work room)

1:00 - 5:00 Testing

5:00 - 5:30 Recap and plan for Day 2

8:30 - 12:00 Testing (muffins, fruit, coffee, sodas at 8:30)

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch (buffet, served away from the work room)

1:00 - 4:00 Testing

4:00 - 5:00 Review and prepare preliminary report

5:00 - 6:00 Tear down

A quick straw-poll suggests most favored dates to be in the week commencing Monday 26th October.

Please can you give me the answers to the following questions:

Are you likely to attend?

What date(s) would you prefer?

What would you like to test?

Basic LDAP V2?

Basic LDAP V3?

LDAP V3 Extensions? (please list)

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Clive
