FYI persistent and triggered search controls

One item on the agenda for discussion is the possible addition to the charter 
of the specification for an extension to LDAP searching known informally 
as "persistent searches", "triggered search results" or "LDAP push".   To 
assist WG members in deciding whether this topic is suitable and desirable for 
addition to the charter, two individual drafts describing different approaches 
for this extension are now available from the Internet Drafts archive on 
ftp.ietf.org.  They are "Persistent Search: A Simple LDAP Change Notification 
Mechanism" <draft-smith-ldap-psearch-00.txt>, and "LDAPv3 Change Log Triggered 
Search Result Control" <draft-wahl-ldapv3-trigger-00.txt>.
