Re: I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-ldapbis-authmeth-18.txt

Please review this I-D in the next week to ensure
changes made adequately resolve previously raised issues
without introducing any new issues.

While the editor did make some minor changes to texts
relevant to the "auth state & silent change to anonymous"
thread, the editor, at my direction, avoided making
substantial changes proposed by Hallvard. It was and is
my opinion (based on past and current on-list/face-to-face/other
discussions) that the WG consensus does not support
making these substantial changes. However, since the time
the revision was submitted, some specific suggestions (e.g.,
alternative or new text) have been made to clarify aspects
of the text. The WG may continue to consider specific
suggestions in this area for the next week.

By the end of the month, Bob and I intend to make a
determination of how to proceed with [authmeth]. In
particular, we will determine what additional changes,
if any, are supported by the WG consensus before
recommending the I-D to the IESG for their consideration.
