Section 4.5.1 of RFC2251 states: "derefInSearching: dereference aliases in subordinates of the base object in searching, but not in locating the base object of the search;" When the scope is base or subtree, the base object is both located, and searched. The word "subordinates" prevents this object from being dereferenced while searching. Is that the intent? Jim
