Section 4 or RFC 2251 states:
"If a client has not sent a bind, the server MUST assume that version 3 is
supported in the client (since version 2 required that the client bind first).".
This presumes that a v3+ client MUST either support v3, or send a bind before
sending other requests. I suggest changing to:
"If a client has not sent a bind, the server MUST assume that version 3 or
later is supported in the client (since version 2 required that the client bind
first)."
