Initial "strawman" editors

The following individuals have been selected to edit the
initial "strawman" I-Ds proposing updates to the LDAPv3
"core" specification. The initial I-D should be submitted
prior to 17 November 2000 so that they may be discussed
at IETF#49.

RFC 2251: Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (v3)
	Jim Sermersheim <JIMSE@novell.com>
RFC 2252: LDAP (v3): Attribute Syntax Definitions
	Mark Hinckley <MHINCKLEY@novell.com>
RFC 2256: A Summary of the X.500(96) User Schema for use with LDAPv3
	Kathy Dally <kdally@mitre.org>
RFC 2829: Authentication Methods for LDAP
	Roger Harrison <RHARRISON@novell.com>
RFC 2830: LDAPv3: Extension for Transport Layer Security
	Jeff Hodges <Jeff.Hodges@kingsmountain.com>

These "strawman" I-Ds will complement the following I-Ds which
have already been submitted:

LDAP Data Model - Mark Wahl <Mark.Wahl@Sun.COM>
          draft-wahl-ldapv3-defns-xx.txt
RFC2253 - Kurt Zeilenga <Kurt@OpenLDAP.ORG>
          draft-zeilenga-ldapbis-rfc2253-xx.txt
RFC2254 - Mark Smith <mcs@netscape.com>
          draft-smith-ldapv3-filter-update-xx.txt
RFC2255 - Mark Smith <mcs@netscape.com>
          draft-smith-ldapv3-url-update-xx.txt

For each specification, the editor is primarily responsible
for determine what changes to propose. The editor should
use this list, archives of various mail lists, and their
own best judgement to produce an initial I-D. The general
guidance, in accordance with our proposed charter and IETF#48
discussions, given is:
  - don't add any new features, and
  - obsolete LDAPv2
