saw that you were about to go 2.0.8 but that my case was suspended. 
nis.schema doesn't work well without the mailmember (which is required), 
and which my/Luke's patch addresses.

Should give you all the gory details. I simply added the component 
required to "finish" nis.schema without fully generating this separate 
schema.
