Hi There, I do not have gdbm installed on my system but have the header files and library in my local directory. How can I tell configure to recognize the directory? Thanks, Mike

If you have gdbm.h in /foobar/include/ and libgdbm.a in /foobar/lib/: env CPPFLAGS="-I/foobar/include" LDFLAGS="-L/foobar/lib" ./configure You should probaby do `rm config.cache' first to get rid of the setup from the previous configuration, if any. -- Hallvard
