No-op Search Control

Instead of actually performing a search request, a searchResultDone message is returned, with a response control whose value contains:

  • the result code the search would return; it may differ from the result code returned by the search when the control does not modify its semantics
  • the number of entries the search would return
  • tne number of search references the search would return.

This control is experimental; no formal specification exists yet. As such, it may change in the future.
