(Answer) (Category) OpenLDAP Faq-O-Matic : (Category) OpenLDAP Software FAQ : (Category) Integration : (Answer) How does one use LDAP authentication with PAM?
There's a pam_ldap module which you may download from PADL (http://www.padl.com/). Features include Linux support (it's part of the Debian Potato distribution), password changing, Netscape Directory Server password policies, runtime-configurable attributes, and a common configuration file with nss_ldap.

The PADL pam_ldap list is (pamldap@padl.com).
