Oscar is a project aimed at designing and constructing a public key certification system from the ground up. The system will include all necessary components including, a Certificate Authority, Certificate repository and client interface. This will provide the infrastructure required to manage and administer a public key environment. The Oscar project aims to conform to existing and emerging standards such as the IETF PKIX, OSI X.509, and RSA PKCS standards. Oscar stands for Open Secure Certificate ARchitechture.
