connection problem with ldapmodify -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:///

Hello,

everytime I try

*ldapmodify -Y EXTERNAL -H ldapi:///*
*
I get the following

SASL/EXTERNAL authentication started
SASL username: gidNumber=0+uidNumber=0,cn=peercred,cn=external,cn=auth
SASL SSF: 0

and thats all, same with password (-W), it stopped at all and no log messages.
