I want to change an attribute type in system schema (e.g., CN / Equality = caseExactMatch). Is this possible? Does it require source code modification?
This is an extremely bad idea, these attributes are defined by RFCs in such a manner for a reason. You will break all sorts of things if you do this. So while it is possible, you'll regret it if you do it.
