The people who wrote the component matching code left the Project long ago, 
and no one has stepped in to take over its maintenance since. At this point 
you probably know more about the component matching code than anyone else on 
this list. The only thing I remember from looking at it is that the indexing 
support they wrote for back-bdb/hdb didn't take any thread safety into account 
and I had to rip it all out because otherwise it would simply crash.

If you can make this code do anything useful please followup to the ITS with 
any further patches.
